Please note change of date from April 25th to April 30th.
As you may be aware ANZAC Day (April 25th) this year falls on Easter Monday. AANs concern with holding the ceremony on Easter Monday was that we may not get the level of attendance that the ANZAC Day ceremony deserves and therefore the change in date to April 30th. The Easter holiday period in Norway is a special issue for those living in Norway and we felt that families would be unlikely to adjust holiday plans to return for ANZAC Day. ANZAC Day for Australians is so significant that we did not want to take the step of canceling it due to lack of attendance.

Changing the date of the ANZAC Day service is not without precedence (ref. here) and according to the RSL President of Victoria, Ian Kennett, "if the service is carried out with due process and with respect we have no problem with it."
